I can see Rob Zombie there, just because it's a Halloween thing. And he has a lot of support in the non-metalhead community, including me. I still buy every album, even though none of them have been particularly good since his first solo.
Besides, Mastodon needs someone to open up for. They could make one of the side stages a metal stage one day. (Last year, one of the tents was hip-hop one day and indie-rock the next.) He's not too egocentric to do it either, he did side stage at Ozzfest one year when he didn't have a new album or big stage show.
Or, put him on before Rage if this Iggy on saturday thing is true. They need someone else big on there.

it would be a stretch but i think it would be interesting to see zombie on halloween weekend play a show and bring all his props and that big robt he has dancing during the show and all the pyrotechnics.
it would also really piss off some of the jam band lovers who act like more snotty then the damn rockstars they despise! gimme a fucking break with that b.s! here is a rant:
put zombie, slayer with tom petty and springsteen and the beastie boys and wu-tang with billy joel and kelly clarkson and chris daughrtry! what do i fucking care?! music is music! and if it makes u think or just makes ur ass shake, its all good..
hell , i got introduced to music in the 70's listenin to litefm music my mom would listen too with barry manilow, neil diamond and olivia newton john! but it made me like music so i got more into music and now my taste are everything and thats why i love music festivals.. hell i was the only 3rd grader reciting prince's 1980 dirty mind album! got suspended for singing the chorus to "head" u can figure out what it was about! :)

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet -- I've certainly not seen this info in full here -- but I stumbled across the details for the shuttle:
Shuttle schedule:
From Strip to Sam Boyd
- Between 11:00am and 5:00pm, every 15 minutes
- Between 5:00pm and 8:00pm, approximately every hour
Departing from:
Tropicana, Circus Circus, Paris and The Mirage
From Sam Boyd to The Strip
- Shuttles are available to return from Sam Boyd Stadium throughout the day and night.
- The last shuttles will depart Sam Boyd Stadium at midnight.
- After 10:00pm, shuttles will run from Sam Boyd Stadium to the late night show venues.
it also confirms that the shuttle is $50/person. it doesn't say whether that's per day or for the entire weekend. I found this information here (http://www.targetsport.com/vegoose/travel.html). the official vegoose site linked me there from the travel packages page.
those travel packages don't seem like much of a deal. and now that I've seen the shuttle details, I'm very glad to be staying in the siena suites.

They should add more night shows. Thats just what Ive heard anyways. And its not just you who thinks the current like up is weak. A bunch of jam band lovers and closed minded hippies also think its weak. Not saying you are either one... Im just saying, that other people also think the line up is weak.
Personaly, I think the line up is amazing.
Rage, I never thought I would be able to see them, and I get to see them twce in one years.
Daft, pretty much the same story.
Gogol Bordello are pretty much the best live band I have ever seen and it will by my 3rd time seeing them this year.
Muse and QOTSA are two bands I have wanted to see forever, but for sme reason, havent gotten around to it.
Then to top it off you have Battles, Iggy & The Stooges, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, STS9, Blonde Redhead, Ghostland Observatory and many others.
There are probably about 10 or so more acts to add, and I am actually hoping dont like any of them, because I am so scared of conflicts right now. Well, the poster seems to be lacking in the low-tier area. Perhaps some good smaller acts will be added. But when Battles and Pharoahe Monch are the two smallest acts on the bill so far, Im guessing some smaller ones will be added.

ok not riding the fence here , but it is not so much weak, but i have seen almost all of those bands many many times ... looking at the lineup, gogol bordello and ghostland are the only two i havent seen at least once (ok i know i have to catch GB, i missed them twice this year at fests, i will not do that again ... ... i either want a new coachella like band, or floyd which i havent seen in years ..... and sexe, umph puts on a great show, yes they are a little jammy, but good show anyway ... but i saw them up in the mountains 3 weeks ago, for two full sets on two different days, so that is the only reason i am going to skip them ... if i knew that darn torrent stuff, i could post a bunch of "those groups" tunes ... right now i am llistening to disco biscuits which sounds a lot like ump ... btw, they were at the same show weeks ago and we saw them in two full sets too lol .. cr****

there is some of that going on for sure ... on the vegoose board though, i dont find it way out of line ... think of when they first posted the lineup for coachella (this year and every year) ... you have the detractors, the people that love it, the people that spend months trying to figure out the schedule ... ya just cant please everyone that for sure ... and it is just a concert albiet ones that we wait all year for ... cr****

I got a cab when I saw Daft Punk in LA from the airport to my hotel. Cost: $50. I don't think it'd be quite that much in Vegas (if only because you wouldn't need to travel that far) but still, if you're by yourself, the shuttle will be a sound investment.
Who all is planning on checking out Thievery Corporation? If I'm unable to convince any of my cousins to go, I'm gonna be in need of a ride to House of Blues. Pre-Vegoose party?

Just a thought.... since Thievery Corporation is confirmed for Saturday... does anyone think they will play the mainstage before Daft Punk? They are also a big name electroic act, so that would probably make a lot of people happy.
That would not make me happy though. That would likely mean Muse would play an outside stage, just before Daft Punk started. So after Muse, I would run over to Daft Punk, and settes for an OK spot. Rather, if Muse played the Stadium before Daft Punk, I could have an awesom spot for both.

We need to start saying where these "confirmations" are coming from. I'm seriously doubting some of these Myspace calenders. Almost all of them say Saturday.
Until Vegoose says so, I'd consider these reliable confirmation sources- 1)Artist or Artist management, or official website, 2) Pollstar (I believe all those entries come from artist management, or promoters.) 3)Process of elimination (confirmed somewhere else one of the days.)
We can also probably assume that none of the night show acts will play twice in the same day. Likewise, the Friday night acts will probably play Saturday, but not necessarily.
I'm going to try to compile a list of "confirmations" with sources.

No. I didn't say anything to the contrary of that.
I said the Friday NIGHT acts will probably play Saturday, but not necessarily. (And in fact, this turned out not to be true...moe is Sunday)

I just mean (and I've said this multiple times) that October 27th could be a placeholder.
That said, now that I've been searching many different sources, and all the dates I've found seem to be accurate. But there are several acts that I have seen listed as "confirmed" that I couldn't find ANY info on.

They are playing the mainstage here in SF for Treasure Island Music Festival...I wouldn't be surprised if they did...besides those guys with a full band is fucking SYC!!!

Man, Sunday is by far the weaker day at this point, even if not for Daft Punk and Muse on Saturday. I am really worried about potential conflicts, though. rage has a good point about Thievery Corporation possibly playing before Daft Punk -- as stupid as it would be to have Muse conflict with the robots, it's not out of the realm of possibility. (I still don't think it's going to happen but the threat adds a modicum of drama to my otherwise mundane existence.) Oh yeah, and aren't single-day tickets going on sale this weekend? They HAVE to be announcing who's playing when by Saturday then, right?
Just spoke with the cousin whose house I'll be staying at. Turns out she lives just a 15 minute walk from the stadium! She said it'd be only a 5 minute drive, but considering the traffic that's bound to be there, walking will be quicker. She's really excited about going -- this'll be her first festival so I'm going to have to play Festival Sage yet again. After I know what the ticket prices are for Thievery Corporation at House of Blues (how much do you anticipate those costing? No more than $50, right?), she'll know if she can make that, too.

Hey Supre, or Chris, or whatever the fuck your name is...
WHY ARE YOU SUCH A FUCKING DICK?
How much of a goddamn loser do you have to be to constantly be trying to make a show of how you're the biggest fan? Here's a little insight for you: being such a dedicated fan to all this shit isn't an achievement--it's a fucking illness.
Your entire life is centered around watching other people do shit. If you put half as much effort into being a remarkable individual yourself as you do into spectating maybe you would have something worthwhile in your life.
But it doesn't have to be worthwhile necessarily--I say you should get a drug habit or an addiction to prostitutes; anything if you'll just shut up about it.

but I got the day off and need something to do, so here:
OK, here are my set-time…well, I don’t want to call them predictions, because you can never predict these things. And it’s not necessarily how I WANT the lineup to go (although it wouldn’t be TOO bad for me.) This is how I would schedule it if I started working for them today and they said “These bands have to play these days, you can schedule the others any day you want”
The schedule last year was pretty strictly structured. I used that structure as a set of “rules”.
1) Set times are in 15 minute increments (45/60/75/90/ect.) Vegoose leans towards longer set times- most are at least an hour.
2) The main stage started at 1:15 each day, with 45 minutes between main stage sets.
3) One of the 2nd and 3rd stages start at 12:20…throughout the day, there are 10 minutes between the end of a set on one stage, and the beginning on the other. Some have said that was only because the main stage wasn’t in the stadium, and they needed to cut down on the noise. But unless they book a LOT more mid-level artists, I don’t see why they couldn’t continue to do it.
4) This isn’t a “rule” as much as an inclination…Vegoose likes to segregate the stages. The “Jokers Wild” stage was semi-eclectic each day, but generally, you had “indie-rock friendly” acts on the “Snake Eyes” stage, and “jam band friendly” acts on the (main) “Double Down” stage. Also, all of the hip-hop acts (except the Roots) played in the “Cabaret Clubs Tent” on Saturday. Sunday in the club tent was all “singer-songwriter” type acts. (Guster was the only “band”, but they fit in that mold.)
There were only two exceptions to the above rules on the three main stages… there was only a half hour between the 1st and 2nd main stage set one day. And Toubab Crewe played a 40 minute set starting at 11:30am on Saturday. I used a few other guidelines. First, the assumption is that Rage and Daft will get “silent slots”, because they are the top 2 billed acts. But Widespread Panic did NOT have a “silent slot” last year, at least not for the first half of their set. Second, although Vegoose sticks to the “billed higher = plays later” assumption more than Coachella, it’s still not a strict rule. Third- don’t worry about counter-programming, but avoid any obvious conflicts (like Muse vs Interpol at Lolla.)
Finally, I did not figure the tent into the equation at all. In 2005, there was a “Clubs Tent” AND a “Cabaret Tent”. Presumably, they were combined last year due to the noise issue. Vegoose.com says “Cabaret is back!”- presuming they use the stadium, the music-only tent should be back. But I think most of the current acts are too big for the tent. I’m assuming most of the future additions will be minor names and go in the tent. If a lot of mid-level acts are added, the bottom levels of these set times might slide to the tent.
Oh…one more thing to remember... the “Snake Eyes” and “Joker’s Wild” stages are the SAME SIZE (at least according to the 2005 map.) All three stages can hold LARGE crowds. (You’ll see why I say this in a minute.) I have two possible schedules for Saturday.
SATURDAY (the more unusual schedule)
“DOUBLE DOWN STAGE” (Stadium- the ROCK stage)
1:15-2:15 Mastodon
3:00-4:15 Gogol Bordello
5:00-6:30 The Shins
7:15-8:45 Iggy & The Stooges
9:45-11:15 Muse
“SNAKE EYES STAGE” (eclectic/electronic)
12:20-1:20 M.I.A.
2:40-3:40 Thievery Corp
5:00-6:15 STS9
7:50-9:20 Daft Punk
“JOKER’S WILD STAGE” (Hip Hop)
1:30-2:30 Pharoahe Monch
3:50-4:50 Ghostface Killah
6:25-7:40 Public Enemy
9:30- 10:45 Cypress Hill
The theory behind this schedule is that while Daft may be the biggest draw, Muse could appeal to the largest crossover audience. The rockers , the hippies, the artsy/indie kids, and the techno fans can all at least enjoy Muse, even if it’s not their main reason for being there. Also, their show is designed for stadiums. The Daft crowd can have 25 minutes to make it over to Muse, and still see a good show, even if they are towards the back. The Muse hardcores can still catch half of Daft and go camp out for Muse…or they can hang in the stadium most of the day. Cypress Hill offers a Muse alternative- their fans probably crossover the least. And there should be no setup/teardown issues with Daft or Muse…both close their stages, and both have at least an hour before their sets. (And I doubt Iggy has much to tear down.) You could swap Thievery and STS9 in this schedule.
SATURDAY (the more conventional schedule)
“DOUBLE DOWN STAGE” (Stadium- the artsy stage)
1:15-2:15 Thievery Corp
3:00-4:15 STS9
5:00-6:30 The Shins
7:15-8:45 Muse
9:45-11:15 Daft Punk
“SNAKE EYES STAGE” (Metal/Punk)
1:15-2:00 (TBA)
3:05-3:50 Mastodon
5:10-6:25 Gogol Bordello
8:00-9:15 Iggy & The Stooges
“JOKER’S WILD STAGE” (Hip Hop)
12:20-1:05 Pharoahe Monch
2:10-2:55 M.I.A.
4:00-5:00 Ghostface Killah
6:35 -7:50 Public Enemy
9:25- 10:40 Cypress Hill
The TBA act could be Battles, but I think they’ll be on Sunday with the more unusual acts. We need another metal band in this slot.
Sunday is easier in many ways, though there are more holes in the schedule. Obviously, there will be a “jam” stage in the field. There’s also more room for a semi-big name act or two. Some Rage fans will camp out in the stadium all day. This led to a lot of abuse on the opening acts at Coachella, (especially Crowded House). So the stadium should stay pretty hardcore all day. The third stage should be very eclectic. The Coachella kids who are excited about Saturday but aren’t interested in the jam bands will probably be at the third stage most of the day. But the jam fans would probably enjoy checking them out too, and will probably wander back and forth. This schedule is almost like two different festivals…the two stages in the field resemble the variety in Vegoose 2005, and the stadium can be filled with the Rage fans and they won’t cause any trouble.
SUNDAY
“DOUBLE DOWN STAGE” (Stadium- RAWK!)
1:15-2:15 Battles
3:00-4:15 (TBA)
5:00-6:30 Queens Of The Stone Age (or TBA)
7:15-8:45 (TBA) (or Queens Of The Stone Age.)
9:45-11:15 Rage Against The Machine
“SNAKE EYES STAGE” (Jam-friendly)
1:15-2:00- A.L.O.
3:05-4:05 Robert Randolph
5:25-6:25 Umphrey’s McGee
8:00- 9:30 moe
“JOKER’S WILD STAGE” (eclectic)
12:20-1:05 Ghostland Observatory
2:10-2:55 U.N.K.L.E.
4:15-5:15 Blond Redhead
6:35-7:50 Spearhead
I put Spearhead on the “non jam” stage because I think they have the most crossover appeal. This might be a lot of people’s last show they see in the field before heading back to Rage. Jam fans should enjoy being able to hit Umphrey’s/Spearhead/Moe right in a row if they wander back and forth.
As far as the holes on the main stage…I’ve seen some rumors of Vegoose trying to get Rob Zombie. May sound odd, but it IS a Halloween themed festival, and he could play the pre-Rage slot without getting abused by the hardcore Rage fans. (Note, I LIKE Rage, but they do attract jerks.) For the 3:00pm slot, I’d love to see Coheed & Cambria added. They are playing VooDoo fest the day before, but so is Ghostland and presumably Rage. Maybe Coheed and Ghostland can jet-pool. :) And of course, Smashing Pumpkins is always a possibility, as they appear to be willing to play anywhere. QOTSA could go in either the 3rd or 4th slot depending on who they add.
SUNDAY- Alternate
“DOUBLE DOWN STAGE” (Stadium- RAWK!)
1:15-2:15 (TBA)
3:00-4:15 (TBA)
5:00-6:30 Queens Of The Stone Age (or TBA)
7:15-8:45 (TBA) (or Queens Of The Stone Age.)
9:45-11:15 Rage Against The Machine
“SNAKE EYES STAGE” (Jam-friendly)
11:30-12:10- A.L.O.
1:15-2:00 Robert Randolph
3:05-4:05 Umphrey’s McGee
5:25-6:40 Spearhead
8:00- 9:30 moe
“JOKER’S WILD STAGE” (eclectic)
12:20-1:05 Battles
2:10-2:55 Ghostland Observatory
4:15-5:15 Blond Redhead
6:50-7:50 U.N.K.L.E.
This is just a slightly different version. Spearhead is still scheduled after dark, but this gets U.N.K.L.E. after dark too, which seems like a good idea. Moves Battles off the main stage, opening another slot.
One more MAJOR possibility…Public Enemy on the main stage on Sunday- either 3rd or 4th slot. That would leave room for another low-level hop-hop or electronic act on Saturday.
There you go…I think I’m either 90% right, or dead wrong. We’ll see.

the more conventional saturday schedule is what I would lean towards. I still think having Iggy on Saturday just doesn't seem right. He seems to fit better on Sunday, but that's just me. But with both Muse and DP on Saturday, I can definantly see Iggy closing out one of the smaller stages, and not playing in the stadium like you listed.
And your last Sunday schedule seems pretty fair to what they (Vegoose) would be doing. But yeah, Public Enemy has to go somewhere. Mainstage or closing one of the smaller stages on Sunday for sure.

There are three stages and a tent where they put the hip-hop, you've missing an entire stage.
I SAID I skipped the tent, and said why.
First of all, the so called "hip-hop tent" last year was a few acts jammed inbetween Yard Dogs performances on one day. The biggest name was Jurassic 5...cool, but nowhere near the draw of Cypress or Public Enemy, or even Ghostface.
Presumable, the "Clubs tent" will be back this year, and maybe that's where most of the hip hop will go. But no way will Public Enemy be in there. It's like Gobi sized...maybe smaller. (I don't know how much of a draw Cypress Hill is...to me they're has-beens, but they are billed higher than PE.)
Admittedly, I am projecting a little too much on that, since 3 of the hip hop acts aren't confirmed for a day yet. And as I mentioned, I could definately see PE playing before Rage. But that's what they did last year...all the hip hop except the Roots in one place on one day.
If you really think ALL the hip hop is going in a tiny tent, then you're expecting 3 or 4 mid-level to major acts to be added to Saturday. I can't see that happening UNLESS they hastily add 3 or 4 more jam bands.

SATURDAY (the more conventional schedule)
That'd work so good for me. But I'd only catch the last 45 minutes of Muse. Eh.
M Sparks
08-10-2007, 11:42 AM
and no way Daft doesn't close any stage BUT the stadium
Probably true, BUT...
The stadium can hold 45,000...more than will even be there most likely. But that means only 9,000 or so can be on the field. And dancing in a narrow football stadium seat is going to suck.
If you go out to the field, everyone can dance. They are raised up, so sightlines shouldn't be much of a problem.
If the 2005 site map is to any sort of accurate scale, the area in front of EACH of the outdoor stages is almost as large as the stadium itself. You can get 25,000 people there easy, with plenty of room to dance.

A bit of info on the "Club's Tent" (the hip-hop tent).
The cops threatened to shut the festival down in 2005 due to overcrowding in the tent during Atmosphere's set. And they weren't even the headliner.

http://www.icecreamman.com/festivals/vegoose2005/leftgallery/atmosphere/pics/atmosphere10.jpg
Quote from the guy who took the pictures..."If you ever find yourself in Vegas on a hot October day with nothing to do, I’d suggest cramming yourself in a tiny tent with hundreds of ravenous hip-hop fans, That’s exactly what Atmosphere’s set was on Sat. A vinyl wrapped oven..."
Yeah, that's where Public Enemy, Ghostface, and Cypress will play. :rolleyes

What's the point of putting it in a tent anyway? Last year, they had three large stages in that field. If they move the largest back to the stadium. there's no reason they couldn't have a smaller hip-hop stage.
It will all hinge on how big or small the acts are that get added soon. At this point, there's no need to have more than 3 stages.
Here's all they say..."There will be multiple stages utilizing the stadium and 20-acre field behind the stadium."
Also, the new site does still make reference to the "Cabaret Clubs tent", not separate "Cabaret Tent" and "Clubs Tent" like 2005. That means they'd be jammed in between Yard Dogs shows again.
I'm still betting on 2 or 3 more semi-major acts- everything else will be very minor acts in the tent.

Compare to the 2005 map
http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/9928/vegoosesitemapoo3.jpg
Since they had problems with the "hip hop tent" in 2005, perhaps the original plan last year was to have a third full stage in the field. When they decided to move the main stage to the field, the smallest stage acts got jammed in the Cabaret tent between Yard Dogs shows.
So, I think they'll go with a mix of the two plans this year, with three stages in the field. Which TOTALLY destroys 75% of my set time predictions.

The S600, launched in March of 1964, was the first Honda car to be offered in two versions; a convertible almost identical to its S500 sibling, and a fastback coupe, introduced in March of 1965. Styling would remain pretty much the same, with the most noteworthy changes coming to the front grille, bumper, and headlights.
For this model, the engine capacity was increased to 606 cc. The engine produced 57 hp at 8500 rpm and had a top speed of 90 mph. With the convertible weighing in at 1576 pounds, the extra sheet metal of the coupe only added 33 pounds to the overall weight.
The S600 was the first "mass marketed" Honda car. First offered with right hand steering only, it soon became available in left hand steering so as to be appealing to the export market. (There were a few pre-production S500s manufactured with left hand steering, two or three even being shown in some early sales brochures, but all production S500s were right hand drive.)
Both the S600 roadster and coupe were available in standard trim and a special, upgraded package called the SM600 which included, among other items, special paint colors, exclusive badging, a standard radio and speaker, a special antenna in the passenger side sun visor, standard reversing lights, a standard cigarette lighter, a standard heater, better cushioned seats, and a detachable seat track for quick removal of the passenger seat.
Production of the S600 was much greater than that of the S500. In fact, of the three production engine sizes for the sports cars, the S600 had the highest figures.
Honda built 3,912 roadsters in 1964, with production climbing to 7,261 convertibles and 1,519 coupes in 1965. Production dropped off in 1966 (as they were shifting to the S800) with only 111 roadsters and 281 coupes, giving tallies of 11,284 convertibles and 1,800 coupes for the 3 year span.

They're both CBS stations. In fact, both of those pages are on the same domain. If one screws up, they both do.
But yeah, seems like it's a good possibility. Only other explanation was that CBS Radio designed that graphic a while ago, and the deal fell through, and someone didn't catch it. If you click on "Lineup" and "Night Shows", you get the same lists as Vegoose.com.
This certainly throws a wrench into the new set-time guesses I was just about to post. I've got stadium slots open on Sunday, but I was working under the assumption that the Rob Zombie rumor might be true, and that they would just have all hard rock/metal in the stadium that day.
I've got a place for Kraftwerk- after STS9 in the field, but before Daft in the stadium. Or maybe a late night show at The Pearl after Daft?

Tired? TIRED?! My friend was tired before Daft and I said "Well go home, I'm not missing this."

I was tired too. It was our first Coachella. We had been there since 10 AM. In that oppressive heat. We were completely and utterly exhausted. But I still kick myself for missing it.

Ok so I got a flyer for Vegoose today after Rock The Bells. They forgot the ''o'' at the end of Bordello for Gogol, so it reads ''Gogol Bordell'' oooops. And when they hell did Lupe Fiasco get added?

my bro, sis and I were kind of in the same boat (It was my 4th Coachella and their 3rd at the time). We spent all day waiting for Radiohead, and when they were over we tried to rush over to the Sahara only to find everyone at the main stage did the same (we were right up at the bar for Radiohead, so it wasn't easy just to push). We couldn't get anywhere close to the tent..so we left..

It was probably me. I knew about it 2 months ago from when his DJ and I were creating beats for the untitled JJ Abrams monster movie set for release on 1.18.08.

They must have an announcement coming soon.

I'm a little concerned that after daft punk, kraftwerk might seem a little anti climactic, unless they have changed their show somehow.
nevertheless, if it's true that they'll be there, i'll be right in the middle of everyone grinning from ear to ear.

You think Kraftwerk might be on after Daft Punk? I highly doubt that if they are touting Daft Punk as the headliner...But I am hoping that with competition coming from the French Robots the Deutsch Robots will have a new stage set up (And if not it will still rock nonetheless).

no no, i'm assuming that kraftwerk would play sunday, because the saturday headliner bands playing are already overwhelming. I just think that all everyone's gonna be talking about from the night before is DP. believe me I love kraftwerk, but i'm hoping they wouldn't be too 'upstaged'.

I kinda see them in the Iggy position- a big prestige act, but not that big a draw.
Probably Iggy will close one of the field stages right before Daft, and Kraftwerk will close the same stage right before Rage.

ohhhh .... rage fans would eat kraftwerk alive, and not in a good way.
I feel bad for any band playing before rage, the only logical thing would be QOTSA or Iggy.

Shoot even Kraftwerk couldnt overpower the meathead factor. And yeah odds are its Queens of The Stone Age, since they are good friends and they opened fo them last week in Wisconsin thats the ideal fit. Bjork woudl be cool to have, everyone freaking out over the Reactable again. So day splits are being announced this week, which means we need a few more additons too.

Ive been gone for ONE DAY and this happens?
Holy fuck... if Kraftwerk gets added. That would be amazing. They would HAVE to play beforer Daft Punk. If they put Kraftwerk on one stage and Rage on another... I would be soooooooo pissed. Either way... wow.
Modest Mouse would be a good addition as well. However if they conflict with anyone, the other band would win.
And Supre, why do you think day splits are going to be anounced this week? The last copuples years they havent been announced until a week or so before the festival?

Seriously, no Kraftwerk, Rage conflict and NO kraftwerk going on before rage...I would punch the first guy who even thought of throwing something at them...I do worry that Kraftwerk will be put on Sunday, instead of Saturday. Saturday before Daft would be the most perfect combination since Pixies/Radiohead.

so lets do a quick recap of major bands here...
Rage
QOTSA
Daft Punk
Public Enemy
Kraftwerk (maybe?)
Modest Mouse (maybe?)
Iggy/stooges
Thievery Corporation
Muse
Gogoll Bordello
Cypress hill even
my god that is one of the most amazing line ups ever. I cant even begin to imagine the conflicts that this could bring.
If Kraftwerk gets added, i'll pull my hair out in extreme jealousy.

And way too many of those bands need to play at night for the full effect (Muse, DP, Kraftwerk, and obvioulsy Rage will be playing at night) and the fest ends at 11 (?)... I don't know how this will work logistically, but I'm hoping for the best.

I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. Thanks to being on the eastern edge of the timezone, it gets dark around 5pm that time of year.
I was there first week of November last year, sitting in a friend's condo. I was shocked that we had to turn the lights on at 4:45pm. Of course, we were surrounded by buildings, so we couldn't see the sun on the horizon.
We don't recognize DST in Arizona, so maybe it seemed more extreme to me than it would to a California resident.

The man speaks the truth, as a long time former resident of the effing desert known as Las Vegas it does turn darking much earlier in the day around that time..so a Muse, Kraft, Daft (full setlists of course!) set up ending at 11pm isn't far fetched.
