Ok here's the deal. Me and 3 friends are looking to fly out from Boston and we're having trouble finding lodging. We're planning on flying into LAX and noticed some pretty reasonable package deals for a flight + hotel stay in LA. What options are there for commuting from LA to the festival each day? We're not 25 so we can't rent a car... so I'm assuming that our only option would be the greyhound bus each day which wouldn't be realistic if we're planning on going to Coachella for all three days and going back to LA each night.

Other than LA, are there any hotels that are still available near the festival? We've looked everywhere, and can't find a hotel for less than $200 a night with rooms available. We're looking to stay the 26th-30th. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

i had the same problem - all the cheap hotels seem to have been booked way in advance. just going to convince the boys i'm going with to man up and camp. it'll be fun.

and you can rent a car under 25 - you'll just have an under 25 fee. probably not under 21 though.

Someone who's coming with us is under 18, and from what I've read they're pretty strict about checking ID's for the camping. If that were not the case we'd camp no problem, there's not much camping in eastern Massachusetts but we go up to New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine etc. every year to camp.

Yeah that whole commuting thing would be ugly, that would be like a 1.5 hour commute everday, very costly. Ummm m the Greyhound thing sounds worse lemme know if i can help you find some accomadations lemme know im a Valley Resident. Heres a list of places Czeck em out... .

You have to book the cheap hotels a year in advance...sorry. you'll know next year.

I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Palm Desert (I think it's Palm Desert, anyway). The room was $150 a night.

You don't have to camp onsite, there are plenty of other offsite camping spots where you don't have to be 18.
