And you know what I mean, the song that no matter what you're doing will take you back to that weekend [Or day]?

For me it's 'Stairway to Heaven' because I camped onsite and when that song started to play it was like everyone was hushed and connected to the music and each other. It was great.

I was going to say that, but that reminds me more of getting stoned in high school.

Declare Independence, easy. That had to be one of the best closers of any concert I've been to.

Unfortunately, that frickin' whistle song by Peter, Bjorn, and John. My carpoolchella had to play it every fucking day over and over on the way to the venue. I hate that song, but at least it takes me to a happy place.

"All My Friends" probably is #1. A couple of others come close, but the thread is asking for only one song.

Friday - "Lazy Eye"
Saturday - the aforementioned fucking whistle song by P,B & J (I don't want to know the name. It haunts me.)
Sunday - "Smile"

These are the songs that I hear on the radio driving home or to work that always let my brain transport. Probably not such a good thing being that I've been in 6 car accidents - all of them my fault. (Sorry - tangent, just passed 4:20, please excuse the rambling.):)

Yeah, Young Folks by PB&J, And I Was a Boy from School by Hot Chip, and All My Friends by LCD. Those three by far. Also the song by Konono No.1. They only song they have.

For some reason The View From The Afternoon (Arctic Monkeys) was the first song in my head when I woke up Saturday morning and stayed there for much of the weekend. Weird.

Kate Bush-Running Up That Hill

I was listening to it when I got there on the first day, and Placebo played their cover of it, and I was listening to it as i pulled into my garage after getting back.

Placebo covered Kate Bush? I must've been over by Crowded House at that point. God I hate Kate Bush.

All My Friends by LCD.

Yes. Also, "Plasticities" by Andrew Bird and "Golden Skans" by the Klaxons.

Edit: I confess that after typing this I may have felt the uncontrollable urge to listen to said songs. Which may have in turn resulted in me closing my office door, kicking off my heels and dancing around my desk. Just maybe.

That would be very close to the top of my list as well. That's the song I had in my head Sunday morning.

The closest would be Gillian and David's cover of "Jackson." That would probably work, even. Maybe even a couple other songs from that set too.

"Reverence" by the Jesus and Mary Chain and "Happy Man" by Sparklehorse near killed me but there's too much going on with those songs for all the assosations to be all or even mostly Coachella.

Arcade Fire - Tunnels

Klaxons - It's Not Over Yet

Belle & Sebastian - Another Sunny Day
This one was playing from the loudspeakers after Damien Rice's set at the Outdoor Theatre sunday night. That was pretty much the end of the fest for me and I don't know something about listening to that song which is so happy sounding and being happy in that moment just sort of encapsulated the weekend for me.

When i first got there, the Silversun Pickups were playing Lazy Eye, during the part where the guitar is wailing with all this distortion and stuff. I hadnt even heard of the band yet so i thought it was awesome. Once i got home, i started hearing it on the radio all the time.
