I learned my lesson from previous years; I didn't even bring any makeup or hair products with me. I looked disgusting. It was fabulous.

amyzzz

I wore Blistex at Coachella. That was it. I did bring my haircare products although some of them were rendered useless without a hair dryer in the campground. I'm leaning towards going back to a resort next year. This was my first year camping.

As someone said before, wear a hat (or bandana/scarf even) to avoid getting a sunburn on your hair part. This was the first year I wore really comfortable shoes meant for hiking, and it really made a difference. In years past, I wore Docs thinking they would be comfortable enough, but by the end of the night, my feet were screaming. Not this year. My feet were fine all weekend in my Vasque shoes.

And I also would feel uncomfortable having someone work on my nails or feet. I had a manicure once at some beauty school with discounted rates when I was a teenager, and I didn't like the way they filed them.

these are my "girls night out"

during football season me and my one gf who loves sports go to gameworks (where we have become good friends w/ the bartenders) every monday night, eat jalapeno/peperoni pizza and drink mugs of pyramid hefs and new castles.

tuesdays another friend and i try to go buffolo wild wings to drink more beer and have $.47 wings.

if the angels or dodgers are playing my football watching friend and i will pick a random bar to go to and watch the game.

i kinda love how my "girl nights out" consist of sports, wings, jalapeno pizzas and beer.

pulling out varies anywhere between 25 percent and 5 percent failure rate depending on the dick.

condoms have a 15 percent failure rate across the board.

any ladies want to vouch for having had a boyfriend that knew how to pull out?

Caitlin

Um. Precum always is a scary thing. Basically, if the guy can pull out and get himself off after the fact, somewhere else, its usually a safe bet.

RotationSlimWang

thanks for the words of wisdom, but 19 year olds dating men with other pregnancies arent particularly authorities.

He's right; that pre-stuff doesn't have sperm in it. The reason pulling out doesn't work with younger guys is that they just don't know how to do it. As they get older, they learn to control it.

I think I read it on WebMD. Or Cosmo.

My Human Sexuality professor in college told us they had done many studies that showed the pre-cum does NOT have sperm in it, although she advised everyone to use condoms, etc.

In reference to condoms vs. pull out: 15% failure rate or whatever is talking about pregnancy. But condoms also have the advantage of protecting against stds. Something to consider if you maybe haven't been with your partner for very long.

It's a blood clot that started in her leg and worked its way into her lungs....she went to the ER with pneumonia-like symptoms and they sent her home with antibiotics and a pat on the head. 12 hours later she was coughing up blood....went back to the ER and they admitted her immediately-they said she was hours away from dying.

She had to take blood thinners for several years after.

argh. improper condom use results in 15% failure rate. if you know what you're doing, it's ~4%. Says my research (medical encyclopedias) and certain services rendered by Columbia University.

IUD's are as close to perfect as it gets (due in part to almost impossible user error), but you know what's funny? No one even knows why, exactly, they work.

Other girly things: I need a better nail polish. I'm a fan of red (with, say, gold shimmer or whatever you'd call it); my favorite for a long time was "Berry Persistent" by Maybelline. I ruined it on accident and Target doesn't have it, but this Revlon crap I bought has zero staying power, even though it's just about the perfect shade. I'd rather not invest in a ton of nail stuff just to make this one work out. What's a good brand?

i hate how my body holds onto weight right before my period. i'm going to edc this weekend and i'm supposed to be a colour kid with my friends (well, i'm going to be tickled pink) and i just don't feel like squeezing myself into shorts. i've been eating right and working out and i'm still all gross, i hate it.

and i don't have tattoos.

as far as "diet tricks", i'm a meat-a-saurus, so i stick with south beach. i basically just go into phase 1 every so often and try to moderate. beer gets in the way of that though. at least i don't drink soda anymore. that's a HUGE difference right there. be sure to eat breakfast too. and eat small portions often.

and i like to go walking a few miles a day. though it usually ends up only being 3-4 times a week. walking is awesome for your bones as well, and us ladies have to worry about osteoporosis some day.

Thanks, kimery. I followed your advice.

Also, I was instructed by the bride to get "silvery strappy" shoes. UUgghhh! I actually got a pair of heeled jelly's with rhinestones by Stuart Weitzman that are AWESOME.
