Women generally notice details more than us dudes, that and they're excessively self-conscious/enduring.

That girl is built like a brick shithouse. Nothing too objectionable, but goddamn. Let's just say she'd be hard to save from a burning building.
A lot of girls are, whether they look it clothed or not. I used to be a base most of the time when I was in cheerleading, not because I was the fattest :) but because I was one of the few who could support 130-160 lb chicks for an extended period of time. Since they made us train like athletes instead of just being floozies in short skirts, there were like 2 people on the whole squad who weighed under 130. None of those girls looked fat. You'd think most of the ~150lbs ones were skinny or just "normal".
The downside to working out a ton when you're female is not fitting into clothes properly, especially if you do a lot of upper body training. My upper arms were very muscular, to the point that woven fabric tops could be problematic. I wore a lot of spandex...... :/

Actually, she's not that bad. She is definitely a BIG girl, but her proportions are balanced. (Meaning, if she starts to topple because of those boobs, her ass will balance everything out. You know, like a Weeble as it wobbles.)I think the fact that she is dressed as a heifer at her size tells me she really doesn't give a shit what other's think because she's happy with herself. I wouldn't argue with her...
That outfit is really, really horrifying. What a waste of good boobs.
Oh, I doubt those boobs get wasted, Becca. Now, the duct tape? That's what I'm concerned about. When she goes to pull that off, that heifer will turn into a bucking bull!
Lucky girl to have prodigious boobs and hips but no belly. I wish I could scoop out my belly with a giant melon baller.
Corrina, if you manage to pull this act off, may I have dibs on the leftover melon balls? It would only end in a win/win situation, I think.

Here is a question for you ladies: Why do all girls think they're fat?
society. assholes. the media. life in general.
ive spent my whole life never having weight issues or feeling insecure about it. excessive drinking/birth control/generally not giving a fuck/burritos with fries in them have made me feel really shitty, as a result i feel shittier about my physical appearance. but in reality ive gained less than 5 pounds. its really a mental condition. you can feel good about yourself at any weight, there are always just outside factors/distractors.
last night one of my really good male friends gave me a hug, pinched my hips and said ohh you could use to lose some weight!!!
Excellent! Beer timmmmmmme. :)
p.s. that girl is banging hot. i cant find a single reason anyone wouldnt be all up on her, except perhaps that outfit?

I have more recently, most of my guy friends think chicks are too skinny now. Most guys think girls look a lot better with a little beat of meat on their bones. Yet, for some reason, girls continue to think that unless they are skinny as a rail, guys will think they are fat. And yes, some guys will think that any girl who has what might resemble a curve is fat... but those guys are assholes and they are in the minority.
My fiancee always complains about how she wants to loose weight and be skinnier and this and that. I don't like hearing her say that kind of stuff. I love her and her body, and I wish she could be happy with her body. No matter what I say to her will convince her otherwise. Is there any way for a guy like me to make a girl happy with her body, without changing it?

The problem with the guys now appreciating girls with curves is how they appreciate them. The term thick gets thrown around a lot. "I like girls who are nice and thick like you..." WTF? First time I heard that I almost kicked the guy, Sorry, its basically saying you like fat chicks. Backhanded compliments never feel as great.
Rage, I am assuming you don't say that, but be carefull of the compliments you give her, make sure she can't take them the wrong way, or over analyze what it means in any way... because we do that.

And Loca, I have never used the word "thick" to describe her body to her. I know how the must sound to a girl, and I am a little smarter than that. Is curves a bad word to use? Because I always reassure her that I love her curves. Is that a bad word to use? I always thought it was a compliment.

Curves isn't a bad word but it would depend on how it's said. Like if she is feeling insecure and thinking/saying that she feels fat, and then you say "oh baby, i love your curves" then that might be reinforceing her thought process. Not that I can say how others think, just how I would think in a similar situation. But women are crazy and there are times that no matter what men say we will take it in the worst possible way. Just continue to reassure her that she is beautiful and that is all you can do.

I said big girls, I don't consider you a big girl. And I guess that is just speaking to big girls I know who don't like dating a guy smaller than them because it makes them look/feel bigger. I don't know ALL big girls, just some.
But if a guy were shorter and skinnier than you would you find him hot? Just based on initial attraction, before getting to know him. Because most girls I talk to have always said no. I have a firm rule that the guy has to at least be as tall as me but at 5'6" that isn't too difficult.

wanna here something crazy, ladies? my wife now weighs less than when i met her...and that is after having 2 kids. she has an amazing trainer...and works her ass off, though.
when we met i was around 165, then when she became pregnant we gained each other pound for pound, it was nuts. i would see my doc and then she'd see hers a couple days later, we were always within a pound of each other, both pushing 200 around the due date, damn hormones. then she had the baby and lost ~20 pounds instantly and the rest in the next few months. me? i have been stuck at 185 ever since, which makes my doctors happy since it is closer to my "ideal" weight, and at 6'1" is pretty normal, but damn.

If you big girls don't want to be with a smaller guy because you just don't like smaller guys that's one thing. But if the reason is because it makes you look big then I think that's unfortunate and ridiculous. A guy's size shouldn't determine how you feel about yourself.
A lot you women need to start liking yourselves a little bit more. If you're with a man and he obviously likes you, and even compliments you a lot, just embrace it. If he tells you that you're beautiful and that he likes curvy women then get over yourself and understand that's a compliment. He shouldn't have to watch how he compliments you just because you have low self-esteem. That's bullshit. It's extremely frustrating and unattractive when you compliment a woman and that prompts her to either get mad or go off about the things she doesn't like about herself. Just remember, it's your problem not his.

Okay, she's out of her fucking mind. She is HOT and has a great body.
It kind of sucks that most women can't seem to be happy with they have. If they've got curves, they wish they were very thin. If they're very thin, they wish they had more curves.

Tommy makes great points. I currently consider myself FAT. I have never been insecure about my body until after having children and becoming fat. I also don't get a fraction of attention as to what I used to. I have never ever in my entire existence in the dating world ever met or came accross a guy who shares Rage & Tommy's views...in fact most have been the opposite...baby daddy (my ex)seems to enjoy calling me a stupid fat bitch/ass. I like who I am but am not comfortable with my new body and have not accepted it which is probably why I have no interest in dating or casual sexual encounters...so while I'm out of work...off to the gym I go every am for 2hrs...not sure if my body will change or become something I enjoy looking at in the mirror with or without clothes on...but it sure is helping me from freaking out while being out of a job!!!

I've had the opposite experience - almost all the guys I've dated, flirted with, even my guy friends - were tolerant of, if not actually more into, girls on the 'thick' side. I'm not saying 'fat' necessarily, but they did not like skinny. Even when I was not fat. I did have a substantial rack, and seemed to attract 'breast' guys, so maybe that's part of it? A few of my college boyfriends even suggested I could fatten up. If they only knew me now. :P :nono

It's not a double standard because those are two different premises. If you said that you just like muscular guys based on looks, and nothing else, then I think that's fine. It's just the reason you gave that threw me off. Unless a woman runs her mouth, how often does she need to be protected? And, as caco said, don't assume that a skinnier guy can't protect you.
rskapcat
01-12-2010, 07:58 AM
I don't think we're dealing with a double standard here. There's a difference between saying "I'm generally drawn to taller, muscular guys because I think they're the hottest" and saying "I'm drawn to taller, muscular guys because I know they can protect me". You're not just talking about aesthetics. I guess I'd be bothered by a guy saying "I'm attracted to thin girls because I like weak women", but I don't care if a guy is just attracted to thin girls based on physical preference.

locachica73
01-12-2010, 08:01 AM
But don't you think your past experiences lead to what you find attractive? The difference is I know why I find stronger men more attractive, because I like the feel of big arms around me when I have those bad dreams that come at night. I also know that when I see a tiny guy with a big girl, I usually think, that's an odd looking couple. I think seeing a big girl with a tiny guy makes the girl look even bigger. So I usually just prefer bigger, stronger, taller guys.
TommyboyUNM
01-12-2010, 08:05 AM
The guy doesn't make the girl look bigger. People know exactly how big she is with or without the guy. It could work like the total opposite of what you're saying too. If you see a big girl with a bigger guy, someone could think "Wow, that girl is as big as that huge guy."

lol all my friends are skinny. I have no issue hanging out with skinny chicks. They are usually just as fucked up in the head as I am. Actually more, most skinny chicks I know have lower self esteem than I do.
You are all probably right, and I am probably wrong, but it doesn't change how I feel.
edit: but you do have to understand that I came from a very volitile household, there was always fighting and protection was always needed from someone in the house. That has created the person I am today, I can't change that.

It's not about right or wrong. Saying something like "Big girls don't like to date skinny guys" (or "All girls want a man who can protect them") is a generalization that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. You like whoever you want, Audra...we all have our reasons for what attracts us and what doesn't. There is no right or wrong. :)

EDIT: is my avatar giving off the wrong impression? i only chose it b/c LoA are my wish reunion for 2010 and that album is so great with the cover being so emblematic. having said that, i don't want it to make me come off as the creepy old man.
No way, I love them. Though I have to admit Our Little Secret is my favorite album, even though it's not musically superior.
Amy, the t-shirt wasn't a problem until I wore it to a work outing, some of the guys got drunk, and decided they were going to "twist 'my' nipples" (meaning the ones on the shirt. which were not near my own). This greatly embarrassed one of our british execs. He was even more disturbed when, after being told they should not touch me or my shirt, they started twisting each *other's* nipples, in a painful way, with much squealing.
So yea, HR told me not to wear the shirt again. Amazingly the "Click here to see me naked" tshirt never got more than a worried look.

This is why I will be attending Coachella solo. Nick doesn't think he would want to hang for 3 days and I won't let him ruin my Christmas damnit. And he is totally cool with me going without him which is a huge bonus.

Oh, I don't fight, and I don't argue, almost to my own detriment, so it isn't about me starting shit and needing someone to back me up. I don't really expect anyone to protect me, but it is nice to know that if it came down to it he can. But that has a lot to do with my past and not something I need to go into.
i completely understand where ur coming from.
im the same way because of what other men have done to me.
you feel that once you find the guy you know you love, still he needs to protect you from other men that could possibly hurt you again.

caco, you remind me way too much of the kind of guys I grew up with, from the things you post and the pictures you've posted. That puts you into the "not if you were the last man on earth" category. Maybe if there were also not any women left...
Im flattered...I think. Not really sure cos by the sounds of it the guys you grew up with hit you...and I don't hit women. Now if the guys you grew up with loved 16 and 17 year old girls who can fit into a size 4 and can fill a B or C and climb up a 50ft pole and slide down upside down with no hands....well I'm flattered.

I think we are camping this year as far as I know. Unless something changes. I will still be attending with some friends and my sister, we plan on doing the car camping thing but she will still get a motel room since her man is kind of wimpy when it comes to heat and wants to be able to go in and out when he gets overheated lol.

Closer to the time of the festival I remember seeing people who wanted to share some space in a condo/house/motel posting on the boards. I would feel weird about sleeping in a house with people I didn't know but if it were people that you felt comfortable with from the boards I don't see why not. I camped with PAW last year and hadn't met very many of those folks prior and still had a great time. I will say though that I am not much of the camping type girl, but it wasn't really all that bad last year, other than me sitting too long with my back in the sun on Saturday while waiting for the festivities to start.
matildawong
01-13-2010, 10:28 AM
Good ideas. I'm not much of a camper either so I'll keep my eyes peeled for sharing space notices. I don't mind being alone at all, but I imagine the end of the night would be sort of lonely if you were driving back to your little motel. The past years I've met my friends from NC but not this year.

The father of my kids eventually got violent due to the drug use. He had always been a good guy up until that point. After the first time I left him for a week but eventually gave in and let him back. I did make him watch The Burning Bed after that. He slept with one eye open for awhile. Eventually it happened again, as it always does...

i only had one guy i was actually dating get violent with me and that was in high school. i learned my lesson the hard way for sure. i lived with a guy for three years and i kinda felt like he was gonna get violent towards the end due to drug use. he almost hit me one night and was screaming at me until the cops came to break it up. i'd never felt so white trash in my life, lol. we broke up soon after.
i certainly didn't help things though. he had his ex-girlfriend over and was trying to hide it from me. we had a mutual friend that picked me up from work and on our way back to my house, our mutal friend told me that he was hiding this from me. so when i brought it up, my BF tried to fight our mutual friend until the guy left and then kept screaming all clenched jaw and shaky like at me and was grabbing my shoulders really tight while he did it. i just kept going "i'm not in the wrong here, i don't know what more i can say" and kinda laughing about it which just made him more angry.
what was more ridiculous was i was outside talking to the cops and i see his ex-girlfriend come BACK and try to walk up the stairs to sell my BF more drugs. i just kept mouthing "GO, GO" i mean what the fuck, i'm talking to a COP, not the time for a drug deal...

This may be of value:
One of the best ways to ride that old saddle horn is for the guy to lie on his back and you then mount him sitting up but facing backwards, so to speak. Old Mr. Johnson will slip right in when you gently lower yourself down on it, and I'm told it goes up quite a nice distance that way. You can better watch the in and out action from that position as well, which I'm told accentuates your pleasure even more. Your enthusiastic action and reactions fire him up as well. You can also massage the testicular area for greater overall enhancement. All in all a wonderful way to ride 'em cowboy.

And later claimed they were fake when given such a hard time for doing something so pointless.
Suggesting you're legitimately anxious and worried about what to do if you get your period at Coachella is bizarre, Queenie. You're in your 20's, yes? You've never had to deal with getting your period in a less than ideal environment? That's hard to believe. Unless you bleed buckets, this is a total non-issue.
If you really want to avoid this potential problem, have tons of unprotected sex before coachella and maybe you'll get pregnant.
